Herbed Pork Steaks

- 1 pound boneless pork sirloin steaks, about 3/4 inch thick
- oil for grilling
***HERBED MARINADE***
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 clove garlic, finely minced
Combine the oil, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper, and garlic in a large zip-top plastic bag. Add the pork steaks to the bag. Seal the bag and turn it a few times to completely coat the pork with the marinade. Place in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours (or up to, but not over, 24 hours). When ready to cook, preheat a grill for direct heat. Brush the grill rack with oil. Remove the pork from the marinade (discard the marinade). Place the pork on the grill, 4-5 inches from the heat, and cook for 14-16 minutes, turning halfway through the cooking time. The pork can also be cooked on a broiler pan in the oven, or pan fried, if desired.
