  • 1 can (29 ounce size) tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons red wine or balsamic vinegar

Place the tomato puree in a blender. Add the seasonings, sugar, Parmesan, and vinegar.

Process until the mixture is blended.

Use immediately, store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, or place in freezer-safe containers and freeze for up to 3 months.
