1 lb ground beef
3/4 onion, chopped
1 (12oz) egg noodles
2 tsp garlic, minced
1 (15oz) can corn, regular or creamed
2 (10oz) can cream of chicken, or celery, or mix
2 (4oz) Velveeta, cubed or use shredded cheddar
Milk for thinning out, if needed
1. Brown ground beef and onions, drain. Cook noodles according to package, drain.
2. Add beef, noodles, and remaining ingredients together in a large skillet. Cook on medium heat until the cheese has melted. Add milk as needed to thin out.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
This beef and egg noodle recipe is very versatile. You can add 2 cups of frozen peas, mixed vegetables, etc in place of the corn OR in addition to the corn. You may have to use milk to thin out if add additional vegetables.
Make this recipe with Cream of Mushroom, Cream of Chicken, Cream of Celery or mixed among the 3. Feel free to use ‘healthy’ condensed soups, they work just as great and cut back on the calories.
Don’t have egg noodles on hand? Try elbow macaroni.
