Serves/Makes: 12
Ready in: 2-5 hrs

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1 can (12 ounce size) corned beef, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 can (8 ounce size) tomato sauce
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease. Stir in the celery, corned beef, and onion. Mix well and cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion and celery are soft. Sprinkle the mixture with the flour and mix well.

Add the corned beef mixture to the crock pot. Stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, water, vinegar, brown sugar, chili powder, bell pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.

Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 2-3 hours or until heated through.

Serve hot on buns.
