Skillet Beef And Broccoli

- 2 cups thin round steak strips
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 2 tablespoons sesame seed
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- garlic powder to taste
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 can (6 ounce size) water chestnuts, drained
Combine steak, soy sauce and oil in a bowl. Let stand for several minutes. Heat electric skillet to 300 degrees F. Add sesame seeds. Cook for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until toasted. Remove and reserve sesame seeds. Add broccoli and half the broth to skillet. Cook until tender. Increase temperature to 375 F. Add steak and garlic powder. Cook until brown, stirring frequently. Add mushrooms. Cook until tender. Blend cornstarch with lemon juice and remaining broth. Stir into skillet with water chestnuts. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Spoon into serving dish. Sprinkle with reserved sesame seeds.
