From Gramma Gray’s recipe box, a saved newspaper clipping.

3 eggs, well-beaten
1 3/4 cups sugar
1 cup oil (corn or vegetable oil)
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups sliced peaches
1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Mix all ingredients thoroughly by hand. Pour into a well-greased tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes, or until it tests done in the middle.

No frosting is recommended in the clipping, but simply dusting with powdered sugar or making a simple cream cheese frosting to drizzle over it works well... Or, just serve with butter or ice cream.

Note: No date is found on the clipping, but this recipe is a State Fair winner of whatever year the clipping is from. I will assume it’s the State Fair of Texas as that’s where Gramma lived for most of her life.
