Mama’s Oven-Broiled Steak

1 steak per person, rib-eye, T-bone, sirloin – your choice
Salt & Pepper
Worcestershire sauce
Garlic salt (I use powder)
Broiler pan

Preheat your broiler to its low setting – 450-500 degrees or so. Rinse the steaks in cold running water. Place evenly on broiler pan, not overlapping. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic, and then lastly add the Worcestershire sauce. Mama never measured these but always seemed to get just the right amount!

Place on the middle shelf of the oven and broil until desired temperature. Turn. Broil again. Let rest five minutes and then serve with creamed potatoes, mushroom soup gravy, buttered corn and/or green beans, and dinner rolls if she was in the mood.
