2 2/3 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 1/3 cup shortening
8 squares unsweetened chocolate
4 cup sugar
8 eggs
2 cups chopped nuts
4 tsp vanilla
Measure the sifted flour, baking powder and salt into the sifter and sift together. Melt shortening and chocolate over boiling water. Add sugar gradually to the well beaten eggs, beating thoroughly. Then add chocolate mixture and blend. Add flour mixture and mix well. Add the chopped nuts and the vanilla. Bake in greased pans for 325 F for 25 minutes or until done. Cut in squares. Remove from pan. Cool on tablecloth.
