This Lo Mein is made in the crock pot. You'll use fresh pasta found in the milk/cheese section of your grocery store. This is fast cooking and very easy to use, you can also use linguine,or soba noodles found in the Asian section of your grocery store-your choice!
Serves 4-6
1 1/2 pound chuck steak cut into strips
1 large onion sliced
3 cloves of garlic minced or pressed
3 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated
1 cup of beef broth
1(14oz) can of vegetable broth
1/4 cup low sodium teriyaki sauce
2 cups of frozen stir-fry veggies
1 can sliced water chestnuts
8 oz sliced fresh mushrooms
1(9oz) package of spaghetti, linguine or angel hair pasta or soba noodles-cooked according to package directions.
Directions:
In the 5 qt crock pot put the sliced meat, sliced onion, minced garlic, fresh garlic, teriyaki sauce, mushrooms, beef broth and vegetable broth.
The last hour add the sliced water chestnuts, frozen stir-fry veggies.
Cook on LOW for 8-10 hours
Cook on HIGH for 4-6 hours
Serve over choice of noodles
