1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
1 cup buttermilk made with whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of nutmeg
1 (9 inch) deep dish pie crust-blind baked
Directions:
1.Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Blind bake pie crusts and set aside.
2.In a large bowl, cream margarine and sugar. Beat in flour and salt. Blend in the eggs. Stir in the buttermilk and vanilla and pich of nutmeg.
Pour into pie shell.
3.Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 325 degrees F and bake 45 minutes, or just until filling is set and jiggles just slightly. It will continue to cook due to residual cooking after it is taken out of the oven
