2 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
Cream together and beat in 4 eggs, 2 tsp. vanilla. Sift together 3 cups flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 tsp soda. Mix with sugar and shortening alernately with 1 cup buttermilk. Fold in 6 mashed bananas.
Pour into 3 large cake pans and bake at 325 for 45 to 60 minutes.
Cool and ice with this
6 oz. cream cheese
1 stick oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box powdered sugar
If too thick to spead, add a bit of milk.
Ice cake and sprinkle with 1 cup nuts
