Home Style Lasagne

1 16 oz pkg Lasagne
8 oz Ground Italian sausage
8 oz ground beef
1 ½ T fresh garlic, chopped
½ cup yellow onion, diced
1-26oz jar plain spaghetti sauce
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
3 cups ricotta chees
2-8oz pkg shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ c grated Parmesan cheese
2 large eggs, beaten

Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in large pot sauté Italian sausage, ground beef, garlic and onion. When meat is thoroughly cooked, drain off excess fat. Add spaghetti sauce, salt and pepper; bring meat sauce to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. In a large mixing bowl combine ricotta, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese with beaten egg. Mix until smooth. To build lasagna, layer three strips of lasagna lengthwise in greased 9”x13” baking dish. Spread on 1/3 cheese mixture and ¼ meat sauce. Repeat layering process twice. Top with 3 strips of lasagna and remaining meat sauce.
Bake lasagna in preheated 350 F oven for 40 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes. Slice and serve.
