Peanut Butter Blossom cookies

1-3/4 cups flour
1 tsp. Baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

1.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees/
2.Stir together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
3.Cream together the butter, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar-about 4 minutes
4.Add the egg and vanilla.
5.Blend in the dry ingredients
6.Shape the dough into balls and dip into additional sugar.
7.Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
8.Bake for 5 minutes.
9.Take out of the oven and put a chocolate star or hershey kiss in the center.
10.Press down so that the cookie cracks.
11.Pinch so stars stay on.
12.Bake for about 3 more minutes and remove from oven.
13.Cool for 1 minute then remove to cooking rack.
