Peach cobbler {use any fruit} Easy

1 egg beaten
1/4 c sugar
1 cup flour
1/3 c milk
2 tsp baking powder
2 tablespoons shortening melted
1/2 c salt
8 peaches pared/sliced {any fruit}
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp nutmeg

beat eggs light, add sugar, oil,milk, sift baking powder,flour,and salt,together, add to first mixture.Beat thoroughly.Half fill baking dish with peaches blend in sugar and spice. Cover with batter. Bake 30 minutes.
In 375 degree oven. serve with whip cream.
