SHRIMP ETOUFFE

2 sticks butter
2 cups yellow onions, chopped
1 cup green onion, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
4 large cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons basil
2 Tablespoons parsley flakes
1 teaspoon oregano
2 1/2 pounds raw shrimp peeled
cooked rice

Saute onions, celery, garlic in 1 stick of butter over medium heat. Add second stick and spices and turn heat up; When butter has completly melted, add shrimp and cook until shrimp are opaque (about 3 minutes).
Be careful not to overcook. Serve over rice.
