FROGMORE STEW (SHRIMP/SAUSAGE)

4 quarts water
1 can beer (optional)
1/2 cup vinegar
1 or 2 bags crab boil
12 small red potatoes
4 large sweet onions, quartered
6 ears corn on the cob, cut in halves
1 or 2 pounds smoked sausage
3 or 4 pound shrimp, deheaded

In a large pot, add water, beer, salt, vinegar, crab boil, potatoes, and onions.
Bring to a boil and add sausage. Cook for 25 minutes. Add corn on the cob and cook 8 to 10 minutes at a boil. Add shrimp and bring back to a boil.
