JALAPENO BEAN DIP

14 ounce can refried beans with green chiles
1 cup medium hot salsa
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon brown sugar
6 ounce package shredded Mexian-style cheese
Hot sauce to taste
Tortilla chips, to serve

In a medium saucepan, combine the beans, salsa, cumin, honey and brown sugar. Heat over medium until the beans are smooth and the mixture is heated through.Lower the heat if it begins to bubble.
Add cheese and heat, stirring constantly, until melted.
stir in hot sauce. Transfer to serving bowl and serve with tortilla chips. Makes 4 to 6 servings
