MEXICAN STEAK

1 1/2 pounds cubed steak
1 Tablespoon butter
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 (4 oz) can chopped green chiles, hot or mild
1 (8 oz) jar taco sauce, hot or mild
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese.

Trim excess fat from steak. Cut into pieces and brown in butter and oil. Place in a shallow baking dish. Top with green chilies and taco sauce. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese, bake uncovered an additional 5 minutes. Serves 4
