Asparagus Casserole

Category: SIDE DISHES

1 large can asparagus spears (I use fresh
that I have steamed for 4 minutes)
4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
1 cup medium white sauce or cream of mushroom
soup
1/2 cup grated cheese (I prefer a white
cheese such as asiago or fontinella)
1/2 cup buttered bread crumbs
salt and pepper

Arrange 1/2 of asparagus in a 1 1/2 qt casserole. Top with slices of eggs, salt and pepper. Sprinkle with cheese. Spoon in 1/2 the sauce or soup. Repeat the layers. Bake 30 minutes at 350F.
