Seasons Best Shrimp Parmesan

1 tablespoon chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
1-1/2 cups whipping cream
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons ketchup
1 pound peeled and deveined cooked large shrimp
Hot cooked rice or pasta
Fresh oregano or basil (optional)
Directions
1 In a medium saucepan, cook onion in hot butter until onion is tender. Add garlic, salt, red pepper, and white pepper. Stir in whipping cream, Parmesan cheese, and catsup. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes or until sauce thickens. Stir in cooked shrimp.
2 Serve shrimp mixture over hot cooked rice or pasta. Garnish with fresh herbs, if you like.
