MaMaws Sweet Potato Casserole

3 cups mashed, cooked sweet potatoes
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1 egg
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
2 1/2 Tbsp melted butter
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Combine sweet potatoes, white sugar, melted butter, egg, milk and vanilla; mix well. Put in a 2-qt casserole pan. Cover with topping (below)
Topping:
Combine brown sugar, flour, 2 1/2 Tbsp melted butter and pecans; mix well. Sprinkle on top of potato mixture.
Bake at 350F for 25-30 minutes.
