Annes Sour Cream Drop

1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
2 3/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Mix shortening, sugar and eggs together thoroughly. Add sour cream and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and combine. Chill several hours or overnight. Drop by rounded Tablespoonsful 2 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes -at- 375F, until delicately browned. When touched lightly with finger, almost no imprint remains. Ice cookies and sprinkle with pecans.
