Fruit Punch Bars and Glaze

2 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 can (17 ounce) fruit cocktail, do not drain
2 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/3 cups coconut
1/2 cups walnuts

Glaze:
3/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour a large cookie sheet with sides. Beat eggs and sugar til fluffy. Add fruit cocktail, flour, soda, salt and vanilla. Beat until well blended. Spread evenly in baking pan. Top with coconut and walnuts. Bake for 25-30 minutes. While in the oven, make the glaze.

In a small saucepan, combine all glaze ingredients except the walnuts. Bring to a boil and boil 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in the walnuts. When glaze has cooled, pour or drizzle on warm cake.
