Christmas Coffee Cake

very moist - comes out just beautifully. Serve warm from the oven around the tree on Christmas morning......

1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup cored, peeled, chopped apple
1 cup chopped fresh cranberries
1 stick unsalted butter, melted
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1.2 cup walnuts
powdered sugar for dusting

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift together flour, soda & salt; set aside. Combine all remaining ingredients & mix well. Stir in flour mixture. Spread in a buttered 8-inch square baking pan. Bake 40-45 minutes, until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let sit 10 min, cut into squares, soft powdered sugar over, and serve.
