Fresh Cranberry Sauce

1 cup cranberry juice
2/3 cup cup sugar
dash of salt
1 cup fresh cranberries

Combine first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to boiling, stirring to dissolve sugar. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until syrupy, stirring occasionally. Add 1 cup fresh cranberries and cook 2 minutes more or until cranberries pop. Cook slightly.

makes 1 1/4-cup
