Ingredients:
Muffin tin
Cooking spray
6 large slices of white bread, crust removed
rolling pin
6 tablespoons diced ham
6 tablespoons shedded cheddar cheese
6 eggs
small bowl
fork
salt and pepper
baking dish( be sure muffin tin fits inside)
plates
Directions:
1 Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Coat 6 sections of a muffin tin with cooking spray. Press each bread slice down hard with a rolling pin to flatten. Tuck a slice into each muffin cup. Be sure all 4 corners of bread stick out over rim.
2 Sprinkle 1 tablespoon ham into each nest. Top with 1 tablespoon cheddar cheese. Crack an egg into a bowl, stir with a fork, then pour into a nest. Repeat with each nest. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
3 Fill a baking dish half full with water, and place muffin tin in it. Carefully slip dish onto middle rack in oven. Bake 25 minutes or longer until eggs cook through.
4 Ask an adult to remove pan from oven, being careful not to spill water into muffin tim. Let cool slightly.a
5 Remove nests and slip them onot plates. Serves 6.
