Strawberry Delight from Mom

Crust:
1 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped pecans
Mix together and toast in 8 x 13 pan for 15 minutes at 400 degrees. Check after 10 minutes and stir. When lightly browned, press 1/2 of mix into bottom of pan and reserve the rest for topping.
Filling:
12-16 oz. frozen strawberries
2 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1 T. lemon juice
1 t. vanilla
1 c. whipping cream, whipped.
Beat all except whipping cream in large bowl until bowl is filled. Fold in whipped cream.
Pour on crumb shell and top with remaining crumbs. Freeze and cut into squares.

This was always a treat for us kids growing up.
