Pickled White Fish

Category: Appetizers

Combine 5 cups of water and 1 cup PICKLING SPICE. Add fish and refrigerate for 48 hours. Drain and rinse thoroughly.

Place fish in clean glass container. Add fish and cover in white vinegar. Refrigerate for 48 hours and drain. Discard vinegar.

Combine 7 ingredients listed below and boil for 5 minutes. Cool.
2 c. White Vinegar
4 Bay Leaves
1 t. Peppercorns
1 t. Whole Allspice
1 1/2c. White Sugar
2 T. Mustard Seed
1t. Whole Cloves

Layer fish and sliced onion in glass container. Cover with brine and refrigerate for 48 hours. Ready!!!
