Seafood with Creamy Pasta

This recipe is underrated. Served 5-8-08. WOW.

3 cloves garlic
3 chopped shallots
2 T. olive oil
1 T. butter
1 T. flour
1 c. chicken broth
1 c. heavy cream
1/8t. saffron
1 and 1/2 lbs. shrimp.
1 chopped tomato
2 t. lemon juice
1/4 c. white wine (I added this...WOW)
S & P
Pinch red pepper flakes
Saute garlic and shallots olive oil and butter about 7 minutes. Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes. Add chicken broth, heavy cream, saffron and shrimp. Simmer 5 minutes. Add tomato, lemon juice, wine, s & p, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3 minutes. Serve over fettucine.
