Ginger Pear Cranberry Sauce

12 oz. cranberries
2 Bosc or Anjou pears ( 1 lb.), chopped
1 T. fresh ginger, grated
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
Pears for garnish
Heat all ingredients except garnish pears to boiling on high, stirring occasionally. Reduce to medium heat and cook 5 - 7 minutes until cranberries pop and pears are tender. Mix will thicken as it cools. Cool, cover and refrigerate up to 4 days. Garnish and serve.
