Skillet Spaghetti Pizza With Sausage

- 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 pound thin spaghetti, broken into 2-inch lengths
- 1 jar (26 ounce size) pasta sauce
- 1 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup diced green bell peppers
- 1 1/3 cup cheddar French fried onions
Cook the sausage and garlic in oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until browned, stirring frequently; drain. Stir in uncooked spaghetti, sauce and water. Heat to a boil; reduce the heat to medium low. Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until spaghetti is cooked, stirring occasionally. Top spaghetti mixture with cheese, peppers and French fried onions; remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 3 minutes until the cheese is melted. Serve immediately. Substitute pizza toppings such as mushrooms, olives or pepperoni for green peppers.
