Brown-Butter Corn With Basil

- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cups corn kernels
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 cup finely shredded fresh basil
Heat butter in a 12-inch heavy skillet over moderately high heat until foam subsides and most of butter is golden brown. Add corn, season with salt and pepper, and cook, stirring, until tender, about 4 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in basil.
