You can make this recipe in a crockpot or in a casserole dish. Preheat oven to 350, or set crockpot on low. Serves 6 to 8. Serve with corn bread.
1/2 pound lean ground beef, browned and
drained
2-3 slices of bacon, browned and crumbled
1 can (15 ozs) butter beans
1 can (15 ozs) kidney beans
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worchester sauce
1/4 cup catsup
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard, or 1 tablespoon
prepared mustard
2 tablespoons molasses
If preparing in a crockpot, drain beans. Mix all ingredients and cook in a crockpot 5-6 hours.
Or, mix all ingredients in a casserole dish and bake 2 hours in the oven, covered. Don't drain the beans if you bake in the oven.
