SMOKESTACK BBQ SAUCE

1/2 cup yellow onions
1/4 cup minced garlic
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup molasses
3 tbsp Worcestershire
2 tbsp hot sauce
1/4 cup butter
4 (2 oz) cans tomato sauce
8 oz dark lager beer
1 tbsp celery salt
2 tbsp white pepper
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger and nutmeg
1/2 cup brown sugar yield about 8 cups
Saute 1/2 cup onions in olive oil. Add minced garlic, apple cider vinegar and molasses. Let reduce by 1/3 and then add the Worcestershire, hot sauce, butter, tomato sauce and beer. Bring to simmer then add the remaining ingredients. Let sit for 20 minutes then puree together.
Sauce goes good with chicken ribs pork and burgers
