HICKORY FLAVORED SPARERIBS

1 (3 lb) slab pork ribs
2 tbsp onion juice
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 tsp curry powder
1 tbsp charcoal salt
1/2 cup white wine
2 tbsp water
2 tbsp catsup
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp rosemary and pepper

Trim excess fat from spareribs; remove membrane. Mix onion juice, garlic and curry powder in bowl until of paste consistency. Spread over spareribs; sprinkle with charcoal salt. Place in nonreactive dish. marinate, covered, in refrigerator for several hours.

Bring remaining ingredients to a boil in saucepan; reduce heat. Simmer for 5 minutes. Grill spareribs over medium-low coals for 1 1/2 hours or until cooked through, turning and basting with wine sauce frequently. Serve 6
