STRAWBERRY FROSTING

2/3 cup strawberries, sliced
2 egg whites, unbeaten
1 1/2 cups sugar
5 tbsp strawberry puree
3/4 tsp light corn syrup
1/4 tsp lemon juice

Press strawberries through a fine sieve. Combine whites along with next 4 ingredientsp on to of a double boiler, beating with a beater until thoroughly mixed. Place over rapidly boiling water, beating constantly with beater, cooking 6-7 minutes or until frosting will stand in peaks. Remove from boiling water; beat until thick enough to spread.
