Sweet BBQ Shrimp
Category: Seafood and Fish - Grilled
2 pounds LARGE raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 finely chopped onion
1 cup olive oil
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 cup Maple Syrup
Optionally a Pound of your favorite bacon
In a large bowl, mix everything together (except bacon) and then add shrimp. Marinade shrimp in the fridge overnight (PREFERABLE) or at least for several hours. Flip occasionally to distribute shrimp marinade.
Preheat your bbq grill while skewering the shrimp.
Wrap each shrimp in bacon and slide onto wooden skewer. When grill is hot, grill shrimp kabobs until done. Approx. 5-8 minutes.
