CRANBERRY BEEF BRISKET

1 brisket, seared on all sides
1 cup whole cranberry sauce
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
1/2 cup ketchup
Ginger ale, to cover

Put brisket in roaster pan without lid and sear on high heat using oven with 450 degree heat. Turn after 15 minutes. Now pour remaining ingredients in with brisket and cover pan with lid or foil. Pour ginger ale halfway up pot. Do not cover meat completely. Cook at 340 for 2 1/2 hours covered. NOTE: Will have a bbq flavor.
