RANCHERO POTATOES

4 sliced, cooked potatoes
1/4 cup butter
2 tbsp flour
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 cup finely diced onions
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Layer half the potatoes in a lightly greased casserole dish. In a saucepan, melt butter, stir in flour and the milk gradually, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients. Pour half of the sauce over the potatoes, repeat the layers. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
