BEEF AND NOODLE CASSEROLE

2 tbsp olive oil
1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tbsp minced parsley
2 (14.5 oz) cans tomatoes
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
8 oz noodles
12 oz shredded mild Cheddar or American cheese
3 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Brown ground beef in olive oil; remove with slotted spoon and drain off all but 2 tbsp fat. Add onion to fat and saute until tender. Add parsley, tomatoes, tomato sauce, seasonings, and ground beef. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Cook noodles in boiling, salted water following pkg directions. Drain and rinse with hot water. In greased baking dish, alternate layers of noodles, cheeses, and the sauce. Bake at 350 until bubbly and cheese is melted. Serves 6
