BEEF AND MOZZARELLA BAKE

1 lb ground beef
1 lb sliced mushrooms
1 sliced onion
1 sliced green pepper
4 cups cooked medium or shell macaroni
1 can Italian tomato herb soup and cream off mushroom soup, undiluted
1 1/4 cups water
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp garlic powder or 1 garlic clove, minced
1/8 tsp salt
Additional shredded cheese for topping

Brown beef and vegetables; drain. Add remaining ingredients to combine and spoon into a greased 2 quart shallow baking dish. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes or until hot. Sprinkle with cheese topping and bake until cheese is melted.
