Shelly's Recipe

* RAISIN NUT COOKIES

1 cup Pet milk with 1-tablespoon vinegar added
1/2 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
3 cups raisins
1 cup pecans

Cream butter and brown sugar. Add eggs and pet milk. Add dry ingredients. Stir in raisins and nuts. Bake 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees.

When cool ice with:

BROWN BUTTER ICING
Brown 3/4 cup butter in heavy pan
Stir in:
3 cups powdered sugar
3 tablespoons pet milk
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Spread on cooled cookies.
