ITALIAN GREEN BEANS WITH ONION AND BASIL

1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small white onion, chopped
3 (10 oz) pkg frozen Italian-style green beans, thawed
1 cup vegetable stock
1 tbsp chopped fresh or 2 tsp dried basil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Melt butter with oil in large skillet over medium heat; add onion, and saute 5 minutes or until tender. Add green beans and remaining ingredients; cook 20 to 25 minutes or until beans are tender. Serves 6-8
