Cookie:
1 cup butter
1 cup confectioners sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups sifted flour

Cookies: Cream butter. Add sugar, salt and vanilla. Cream together well. Gradually add flour. Shape into balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Press thumb in center of each, making a deep well. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and place cookies on wire rack to cool. Place a heaping half-teaspoon of filling in the hollow of each cookie. Drizzle chocolate icing frosting over each cookie. Yields about 3 dozen cookies.

Filling:
6 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 cups confectioners sugar
4 tablespoons flour
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup coconut

Cream all ingredients together.

Frosting:
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons water
1 cup sifted confectioners sugar

Melt chocolate chips, butter and water over very low heat, stirring. Add sugar. Beat until smooth.
