NO BAKE COOKIES

1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups oatmeal
1 cup coconut
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts
6 tablespoons cocoa

Cook sugar, butter, milk and vanilla until it comes to a full rolling boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Combine the remaining ingredients with liquid mixture and mix thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper and let set until cooled. Can decorate with M&Ms, raisins or chocolate chips.

Yields about 5 dozen.
