WILD RICE DRESSING

1 1/2 cups wild rice
1 large onion, minced
1 cup bacon drippings or butter
1 1/2 loaves stale cracked wheat bread, finely crumbled
1 cup cooked celery, chopped
2 tsp chopped parsley
1 tsp curry powder, optional
Sage, if desired
Slat and pepper, to taste
2 eggs, well beaten

Boil rice about 20 minutes is 3 quarts water; drain well and cool. Fry onion in fat until clear. Mix ingredients, folding in beaten egg lat and toss dressing lightly.

Enough to stuff a 12 to 15 lb turkey. Also delicious with any type fowl, veal or pork.
