Shelly's Recipe

THREE BEAN BARBECUE SAUCE

2 tsp vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups chopped onion
1 cup chopped red and green bell pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 tbsp cider vinegar
1 tsp dry mustard
1 (15.8 oz) can great northern beans, drained
1 (16 oz) can kidney beans, drained
1 (16 oz) can lima beans, drained
1/2 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled

Heat oil in a large skillet. Add next 3 ingredients and sauté 5 minutes or until tender. Stir in next 5 ingredients and bring to a boil. Stir in beans. Pour into a 11x7 inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with bacon. Bake, uncovered, at 325 for 55 minutes or until bubbly. Serves 4
