STOVETOP BAKED BEANS

1 tbsp butter
1 1/4 cups chopped onion
3/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup packed grown sugar and maple syrup
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp liquid smoke and prepared mustard
1 (16 oz) can red beans, drained
1 (15.8 oz) can great northern beans, drained

Melt butter in saucepan. Add next 3 ingredients and sauté 4 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serves 8
