CHICKEN AND MUSHROOM COUNTRY STYLE

1/3 lb bacon, diced
1/4 cup diced onion
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken, cut into strips
2 cups mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup sherry
4 tbsp flour
2 tbsp butter
1 10 3/4 oz can chicken broth
1 cup half and half
1/2 tsp kitchen bouquet
1/4 tsp pepper
Cooked egg noodles
Saute first 3 ingredients for 5-6 minutes. Add mushrooms and continue to saute for 3-4 minutes. Drain grease, reserving 2 tbsp.
Add sherry to chicken mixture and reduce until almost no juice is left. Remove from heat.
In a saucepan, melt butter with reserved bacon grease. Add flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Pour in broth and half and half, stirring constantly while sauce is thickening. Reduce heat. Add remaining ingredients except noodles and allow flavors to blend for 2-3 minutes. Serve over noodles. Serves 4
