PINEAPPLE RUM GLAZE

2 cups pineapple juice
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1/8 cup butter
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon chili pepper flakes
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
3/4 cup jamaican rum

Combine the pineapple rum glaze ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until sauce has reduced to about half and has thickened, then set aside.

Baste the ribs frequently with the rum glaze during this last hour.
